We are thrilled to share that The Careers People have won the "Careers Tool to Help" award at the Careers in Careers Festival. This recognition feels extra special because it highlights the hard work and dedication we've put into developing tools that make a difference in young people's lives.
We were honoured to receive multiple nominations for two of our products: our school branded newsletter and the "I Don’t Know!" careers card game.
The Careers Newsletter is a collation of information from employers and universities across the UK. As well as including opportunities from these organisations, it also has a weekly “job of the week”, Labour Market Information Fact, Employer Spotlight and Uni Spotlight. Each feature aims to expand young people’s knowledge of the careers landscape, LMI and HE. We have two versions; one for mainstream schools and one for independent schools (this doesn't include opportunities aimed at widening participation cohorts and has some paid for opportunities).
Meanwhile, the “I Don’t Know!” careers card game offers a playful yet impactful way for students to explore career options. The game encourages young people to discuss their aspirations, interests, and potential paths in an engaging format. It’s designed to break down the intimidating question of “what do you want to do with your life?” and turn it into an exciting exploration of possibilities.
Building these tools wasn’t just about innovation; it was about ensuring accessibility for schools. We worked diligently to price them fairly so that educators could integrate them into their programs without financial strain. We’ve also put considerable effort into marketing, making sure that schools are aware of these resources.
A message from Jess; "I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who nominated and supported us. This achievement reflects the collective effort of a team dedicated to helping students discover their career paths. We love the industry, we love creating products for schools and supporting young people."
We look forward to continuing our mission of creating impactful resources that truly help young people navigate their futures.
